Viagra
Some of you may have seen this piece before, but I’m reposting it since VENT is now available in stores.
VENT is a 248-page anthology/art book collecting original pinups, stories and tutorials from everybody at UDON. I myself did the above pinup(of my personal story idea “Messiah”), showed some of my own character designs, and then did a tutorial on drawing chibi-robots. If any of that interests you please check out VENT at your local comic shop, or pre-order the book on amazon.com for jsut $26.39(best price anywhere!). If you like other anthologies like ROBOT, APPLE, or FLIGHT, you’ll love VENT.

I picked up a hardcover copy at PAX and I can say that it’s an extremely well done collection. I highly recommend it and I’ll definitely be checking out the work of some of the other artists that I’m not as familiar with, especially after getting ServBot sketch in the deal. Keep up the great work.

Um… Matt? U SHOULD MAKE A MESSIAH BOOK!!! I’m not kidding. Seriously, draw a book and get it PUBLISHED!!! U are a great artist, and my role model!!!
P.S.— It would be cool to include a Messiah drawing guide at the end. Just a suggestion!

Nothing wrong with a little Author Cameo, helps the process if one is writing about what they love after all!

I’m really starting to miss my weekly fix of Lil’Formers.
I for one am still hoping that Matt will find the time in his busy schedule to do these again.

WHERE MAH COMIC?!
November 19th, 2010 at 3:23 am
I keep coming back, after the promise that there’d be at least some content every so often… but its two months now.
November 20th, 2010 at 4:33 am
R.I.P Matt Moylan. May his comic strips rest in peace.
Ink to ink, paper to paper, we now condemn this web comic to the shadowy depths of internet obscurity. May it be at peace with “Them Funny Bots”, “The Juggernauts” and “Naruto: The Abridged series”.
Amen

Matt? You know it’s been 2 months right? I know you got a promotion or something but 2 months?
November 21st, 2010 at 8:24 pm
uhh… people… he’s not dead. He set the weekly updates aside and focus on real life stuff.
November 22nd, 2010 at 5:40 am
You know guys, your nagging isn’t making it real inviting for Matt to do a comic here anytime soon… So please, SHUT IT!!!
November 27th, 2010 at 3:07 pm
I hope your Thanksgiving was good and that you will have a great Xmas.
December 7th, 2010 at 3:52 pm
Guys Seriously, it really really does help if you Look at his Blog on this site, He did say he has a life. Considering he does have a position in UDON
for all we know he could be working on a Lilformers Book or somin. so as Raymond T said
SHUT IT!!!

First of all, Matt DID say something… http://www.lilformers.com/index.php/2010/08/23/lil-formers-200-the-end-again/
Second, this is HIS site. We are the guests on it. No one has the right to demand anything from him! You don’t go up to a friend’s house uninvited and demand to be entertained either. Or tell people someone is dead, just because no one opened the door when you rang the door bell.
This site is Matt’s world. His home, his rules. A little respect for that is the least to ask for from anyone. You don’t pay to be on this site, Matt has not sold his services to you, he doesn’t owe anyone anything. So you have no right to complain what so ever.
He is busy with bigger and better things right now. If he decides to pick up where he left off, it is his choice to do so, not yours or mine. Go make your own cartoon and run your own site, if you want your fix…

Ray T: “This site is Matt’s world. His home, his rules.”
What kind of “world” ruler just goes away without saying something?
January 2nd, 2011 at 8:24 am
Kremo: First… READ THE LINK!!!!
Second: That’s for him to decide, and none of our business! Especially not when people keep pestering him about it. Matt doesn’t owe you anything. And certainly not when or if he should update this place. If you guys keep nagging on here, than I can imagine that you guys are sucking the joy right out of this place for him.
Be thankful and grateful that he created this place at all. Be happy for Matt that he has been given the chance to work on something that is his passion and is able to make his breadwinning out of.
January 2nd, 2011 at 11:07 am
Is it me R.T., or are you sitting on this site 24/7?
And if you have a fanbase, you do own them something - respect.
January 2nd, 2011 at 11:10 am
Meh, whatever, forget i said anything.
January 2nd, 2011 at 1:37 pm
““world” ruler just goes away without saying something?”
Was the last strip titled “THE END” too subtle?
I do miss the strip, but matt is occupied elsewhere. I keep this link bookmarked and check in about once a month. And yah, considering TF: prime debuted it would have been nice to get some strips centered around that, But life has other plans. I hope the strip returns in some form or another, perhaps a penny arcade esque graphic novel with creator commentary? but if it never does, matt owes nobody here anything. it started out as a hobby, unpaid and for fun, and now matt needs to focus on other things. Just be thankful the strip existed, and be a grateful fan and wish him well and offer him your support.
Happy new year matt. We all miss you and wish you well. Dont forget about us, and be sure to wear clean underwear and call once in a while. even though life does go on, we still miss you in this part of the web.
End of line.

Agree Irish. Sorry for my behaviour.
January 4th, 2011 at 5:37 pm
I apologise as well.
Next time for me, NEVER feed the whiners.
January 4th, 2011 at 6:01 pm
I still pass this site every monday or tuesday like clockwork. Last two or three weeks it was a bit more, because I was trying to convince a few people to do a similar comic for my own site, which at the moment is still dead silent.
It’s a real crying same when these talented artists pass on doing a weekly or bi-weekly comic (not just for my site, but for any site), because comments like those mentioned before scare them off…
January 21st, 2011 at 7:02 am
>I am not against people wanting to know what’s going on. But there is a big difference between people asking about what the future holds and people demanding there be a new >comic. Look at it from Matt’s point of view. It just comes across like this.
>Matt: “Hey guys, I’m a bit busy right now. Found myself a dreamjob, and I’m getting married soon!”.
>Fans: “Yeah-yeah, whatever, don’t care… Make us a new comic-strip NOW!!!”
You can be a fan of his comic AND NOT of his personal life.
Casual view: “Guy make a comic strip or I help someone else who IS needy of a fanbase and posts regularly.
Hardcore fan: “Hello? Is there anybody? Why don’t you talk to us? Did we do something wrong?”
Raymond T. crawling up his §$%& and sucking up to him will not make him fall in love with you or make him tell you that you are his only true best friend/whatever.
At the moment Matts behaviour is that of a movie star that after he reached the top doesn’t care about the people who either helped him on his way or did so through watching his movies and being a fan.
At least he is not starting to bitch around.. (like all the stars who knew what was the trade-off of being famous).
But, for myself I know one thing:
Someone who can’t even write a sentence that “it’s over” shouldn’t wander when I will absolutely not consider giving him work or buying his art.
January 24th, 2011 at 8:02 am
BBL, I never said I was friends with Matt or said anything that would get me any leg up with him. I am also not the one here comparing Matt with a Hollywood Movie Star…
I’m not saying that we should all show an automatic interrest in Matt’s personal life. I’m just saying that it is bullcrap that people think Matt owes us anything. And when he tries to share something with us, like him getting married, but the response is ‘we want comics’. That’s just rude, and I can imagine that such a response doesn’t exactly inspire him, or anyone, to continue with something like this.
Lil’Formers is something he did in his free time, all at his own expense. Now if we were paying to be on this site, you might have a point. But this is just is own little space on the web. If his personal life is at a stage where there is no room to update this site… For whatever the reason may be… Then we should all be gracious enough that he did these comics when he did. If he stops updating here, well that’s unfortunate, but tough luck for us. Deal with it…
