I worked in a comic shop last year; I then had the weirdest customer…
Me: hi, welcome to Comics Corner! How can i help you?
Customer: Yeah, I’m looking for Transformers toys.
Me: Well, we’re mostly sold out, but we do have these Robot Replicas left…
Customer: Do they transform?
Me: These? Nah, ‘fraid not. They were made more for people who liked the movie bots’ detail that was lost in making the transformable toys.
Customer: Oh, that sucks. Don’t you have anything else? C’mon, I’m sure you have some stock hidden away…
me: Nup. ‘Fraid it’s all we got left since the movie craze hit. Stock comes in, stock goes out within the day.
Customer: Why the hell have these toys sold out EVERYWHERE?!!!
Me: No need to shout, mate. It’s just supply and demand; Too much of the latter, not enough of the former. Had to go through hell and high water to finish my Bumblebee collection.
So… Looking to get some transformables for your desk, huh?
Customer: No, i keep mine mint in box.
me: …So why does it matter whether they transform…?

I don’t see the point of collecting toys as an investment; It’s horrible to keep them in a box; they must be allowed to roam free and transform!
