Lil Formers #103 - GIJoe Movie
I guess they only had the budget for one costume design heh. Check out the GIJoe movie stills.
Between the lack of Roadblock, Storm Shadow in pajamas, and most of the cast being in their 20s (Duke’s, the same age as me? Heh, REALLY?) it was tough to pick something to focus on for this one.

After looking at those pictures. I have to agree, WTF is up with all the outfits, the only ones that fit are Baroness and Snake Eyes, and Storm Shadow. Why doesnt Destro have a silver head?

This is awesome! You nailed it on this one. I have to say, this new direction has made Lil Formers even BETTER! I’m hoping even with all these radical changes and “interesting” design and casting decisions, they can still pull off a watchable G.I. Joe flick.

Too much black. Let’s hope that these outfits are all just from some sort of espionage thingie in one scene.
And please, please to GOD, make sure that Scarlet has a real southern accent. I’m getting tired of hearing Brits playing southerners lol

No Roadblock + no metal headed Destro + unimaginative costume designs = teh suk.
Though I have to disagree with ya and say that I like the casting of Duke - but they should have dyed his hair blond and gave him blue contacts. And I will say that they’ve actually done a very solid job with Snake Eyes - though Storm Shadow is pitiful. I’m smelling the next Mortal Kombat/Street Fighter bomb.

I do not like the new direction. Most of your comic viewers are all TF fans, and maybe some G1 Joe, but we all miss our beloved transformers and we don’t really know about this other stuff. There is no possible way that you could have run out of TF jokes. You can do one about the Problems of TF Animated Toys, crossovers, Henkei TC and SW. Bring BACK TFS

I’m sure that when he thinks of some Transformers jokes, he’ll give us more Lil’ Formers strips. But right now I’m digging the new direction. Variety, after all, is the spice of life.
As for the GI-Joe thing. So true. I geeked out like a mofo when I saw that they actually got Snake Eyes right….and then the other pics came out. It kind of takes away ol’ Snake’s cool factor when everybody else is dressed exactly like him, and if your movie has Marlon Wayans in it, you might as well retitle it as “This Movie Absolutely Sucks”. Ruins the otherwise brilliant casting of Eccleston (one of my favorite British actors along with David Tennant) to know that the movie he’s been so brillaintly cast in will be a turd burger. If there is a God, he will be given the role of Methos in the Highlander reboot.
Eccleston, Park and Miller would’ve been note perfect casting and costuming…in a proper GI-Joe movie. But don’t even get me started on Slumber Party Shadow.

Being a TF and AF fan I have to say that the casting of eccleston as Destro seems to be one of the crappest decisions they’ve made. Only Scottish people do the Scottish accent well, the same way that blackbumblebee mentioned only Southerners do a good Southern accent.

As a black GI Joe fan even I was insulted that Wayans was cast as Ripcord, hell in the pictures he looks like Stalker, all he needs is the freaking HAT! Why Ripcord…. WHY!!!! Funny Stuff, keep em coming.

With the Joe movie, I’m still optimistic. Even if it’s a ridiculous movie, it’s a ridiculous movie with Christopher friggin’ Eccleston playing Destro.
And, if I had to guess, Destro’s going to have something horrible happen to his face and make the mask necessary, likely by the end of the movie.
Also, please keep drawing whatever the hell you want to. As for the people that are so angry that there’s stuff other than TFs on here, they can probably get full refunds of what they pay to see the strip, yeah?

First, I like the new direction of the comic. I love all things 80’s. Lets give it a chance. Its great so far.
As for GIJoe. I have to admit I’m a little scared. However when I first saw Optimus Prime with flames I was in a panic too. When I first saw the all black costumes for Xmen I was worried. When I first saw the dark red/brown that was Superman’s cape I was upset. Each time I was proven wrong. Though story wise Transformers wasn’t the greatest movie ever it was still good. I’ll wait and see how this plays out on screen too.
I think with Destro we have to understand he’s not going to wear that mask in the whole movie. Probably the end. I’m okay with that. I don’t know why Wayans isn’t just playing Stalker. Stalker is much more important to GIJoe then Ripcord anyway. Dont get me started on Heavyduty…I love my Roadblock.

I blame it all on sigma 6. That hole sigma suit thing was retarded. And now it looks like we’re getting stuck with some thing like it again. I understand having some kind of uniform but GIJOE is comprised up of different soldiers from different divisions so i think they should all have their own crap and no uniforms. Only Cobra should have uniforms just like the first show. And Stormshadow looks like crap. Baroness and Snakeyes are the only ones that look like she should. I fear for this movie.

great stuff. but WOW, I can’t BELIEVE the selfishness of some people, an artist can’t do what HE wants to do? the guy can’t expand his references because poor widdle transformers fans now have to share something fun with other fanbases?? come on. I loved the tf stuff but I admit many of them went over my head since I’m not the biggest tf guy. keep up the great work Matt.
