HA! Nice one. Let’s see… Voltron, Gundam, Mazinger… ZOMG Jetfire! Oh, wait, it’s a Macross Valkyrie, false alarm… And who’s that last one? Looks like the unholy love child of RID X-Brawn and G1 Cosmos. Wonder what accent that thing would have? XD
Yes, I used the American name just to tick off the purists. I’m suicidal like that. I have a friend who won’t use the Japanese name because his exposure was the English version and wants to see those episodes again.
I think its funny that people who read a free comic feel as though they can demand someone volunteering time to do something. If the guy wants to write comics about other things, then so be it. I personally like the transformer comics, and the newer ones which are in a different area.
And all the naysayers should be happy about this. If you notice, the comics have been coming much more steadily lately. Maybe, just maybe, that could be because it is easier to draw a wide range of things, instead of just one topic like transformers. Why get upset about a lack of transformers when for a while, no new transformer (or anything for that matter) was being added regularly.
Keep up the good work…and I personally enjoyed the fact you gave them what they asked for Bravo

I’m kinda worried because I liked the comic Transformer based and I can’t find the new ones to be nearly as fun, I only keep visiting because I respect Matt’s work, but it’s pretty much when Michael Jordan tried baseball in Space Jam, we just own him too much to ruin his wish
I’m not demanding anything, but we have to be honest, if it fails to capture our interest we will eventually stop visiting the site

Matt, your work is awesome! This was beautifly drawn and a nice dig to those who continue to badger you. Seriously folks, I thought the TFs were great too, and some of these new ones I like and some I don’t get in to, but stop all your whining. We know your stance, you said it, now get over it or go away.
Personally I’m enjoying the new direction. I think everyone should thank Matt for his time in doing this, like Keeper suggested. So, thanks Matt for your time.
first: i do not want the guys from cybertron back as badly as some do, but after looking at the top aof this site i asked my self… who would be the GL of Cybertron…and were would he store the ring while in vehicle mode?…. ^^

I think it’s great that Matt is drawing in a new audience. With comedy AND art, you can’t expect everyone to love everything! If the transformers fans eventually move on, then so be it, but maybe they’d do Matt the service of passing on his website to their friends who grew up in the 80s and love these other properties he’s starting to draw.
I mean, I can only imagine what happens when a fun hobby you started doing starts to get boring because all you have to work with is putting a square peg in a square hole. Sometimes a person just needs to break free and draw some circles for awhile!!
Love the comic, will never stop visiting! Keep up the AWESOME WORK!!

Um, he is already in the picture between Heavyarms and the VF. If you didn’t know, Tranzor Z is the american name for Mazinger Z.
Or maybe robots from Descent. Or better yet, R.O.B (Robotic Operating Buddy)!
Anywho, I’m so glad to see the “unseen” Wasp battlemech in thi… oh wait it’s the VF-1S from Super Dimension Fortress Macross (or in my case, Robotech: The Macross Saga, since I’m mostly into the Robotech side).
