Lil Formers #111: Son of Whoever
So if you haven’t been paying attention to comics lately…recently in the Hulk-verse:
Hulk’s pregnant wife was killed, and her unborn child believed dead as well…but wait, he’s actually revealed to be alive! Now he’s grown up, grumpy, sports some tribal tattoos & mangy hair, and has a variation of his dad’s powers.
And recently in Wolverine-news:

Marvel: the house idea(singular)! Still, you can bet son-of-Hulk will eventually fight son-of-Wolverine.

…the problem with this kids is…why do thes grow so fast? i mean do you remember how long dick grayson and jason todd (first and second robin the later now red hood…) needed to grow up…
well this strange and sometimes ever returning ideas turned me (in case of marvel away from thar regular series… but their Ultimate Marvel universe is cool i think okay it is the same universe given a pseudo realistic touch but i like it more than standard universe with its regular changes of charakter history….
same would go for DC but there you do not find an alternative to the regular series so i will read on old batsy and hope upcomming RIP storyline will not give us another strange useless and latest after the next crises retconned away comic book death…
… so were have i been… oh yes: great job Matt =)

Answer to GDXToyz: you do not belive how i hate the idea of damien wayne…and wished ras had taken him for his new body…. and i for my part do not even think this son of who ever charakters are more then an publicity gag and will disappear soon enough… i mean: not eaven the black costume lasted foreever an it is cool…(yes both the venom and the standard black fabrick variant ^^

Raymond T/Mr Chaos - isn’t Optimus Primal supposed to be a descendant of the original Optimus Prime?

No! That’s a misconception. But Optimus Primal is not supposed to be a direct descendant of Optimus Prime. Maximals evolved from Autobots, but that was the extend of is. According to the production bible (from what we’re told at least) Primal idolized Prime before leaving Cybertron, and chose his name in honor of him. But that piece of info was never officially used on the show or any other media.

But the difference is that Daken is trying to kill his dad, and Skaar is appearntly made from some form of goo that was left after his mom was killed (I don’t know for sure. I haven’t been reading his series).

Guys! Please shut the slag up about bringing back the ‘bots and ‘cons! Probably no one loved the Transformers versions of these more than me. But just let Matt do his thing on his own terms. This is HIS site after all, and WE are only visiting.
Crying about the return for them, I really doubt is making it inviting for Matt to do another Transformers comic. Get over it! You’d think last week’s comics would have given people the hint. If we want them back, just keep them in conversation and maybe it will give Matt the inspiration to have them return.
SO PLEASE STOP BEGGING FOR THEM!!!

Being a manager at a comic shop, I have to push the Skaar comic on readers. Personally, I think its crap. Its basically Conan as the Hulk. And I’ve never liked Daken. But I do like the way his claws work. Its pretty cool.

Matt if you’re reading this, great comic again. Unlike the haters I love the new approach, but like the haters I would like to request something from you. I think I remember you doing some starwars jokes, I’d love to see your take on the on the new Clone Wars movie, I don’t suggest paying to see it (I watched it bootleg), hell the trailer alone can be picked apart easily for comedy gold. Just an idea. Once again love the stuff.

Yes, if the complaints stop, maybe there would be the once a year TF comic. Or maybe not, b/c without the complaints Moylan will think everything is fine, and no one minds the “everything under the sun” comics. Hopefully politics are next.

Well since traffic is UP, it wouldn’t be a good idea change back. Also the TF jokes were getting kind of lame, it’s tough to stay current since I don’t collect the toys, don’t watch animated, don’t read the comics, and I don’t expect to watch the second movie.
Would love to do two comics a week but that’s not going to happen, it’s tough enough to fit in one with my real job and life.
Like I’ve said though, I will do some more TF comics, but not if people are complaining about it

Jeph Loeb is actually a very nice guy. I helped out on one of his projects once - the issue of Batman/Superman that his son wrote shortly before he died of cancer. It was nice to be able to contribute to that one, even though it came out of a sad event.
