October 27th, 2008 at 1:20 am
Nice one Matt.
October 27th, 2008 at 2:06 am
Mike is dressed like She-Ra.
Eyes are being gouged out everywhere.
October 27th, 2008 at 3:28 am
The big question is, is Jem dressed as Raphael or is she catering to the übergeeks and dressing as any of the pre-toon TMNTs? And why does Raph in drag look like my mother?
October 27th, 2008 at 5:56 am
YES!!!! Turbo Teen reference!!! All I need now is Shirt Tale v Care Bear Royal Rumble and my life will be complete.
October 27th, 2008 at 6:36 am
Ha ha ha! This is very funny, I am also working on a Jem costume right now. I need to lose about 5 lbs though before I can pull of the miniskirt.
October 27th, 2008 at 7:16 am
Totally loving the new lilformers cartoons but I really do just waste a lot of time at work after reading the comic and reminiscing on youtube! We need Dungeons and Dragons! Did they ever get home in the end and stay there? Maybe Matt knows..?
October 27th, 2008 at 8:55 am
I’d like to see He-Man dressed as Faker.
October 27th, 2008 at 9:18 am
If I remember correctly the D&D kids never did make it home, at least not on a perminent basis. From what I understand (not to be confused with fact), a final episode was written that would bring some closure to the series, and may have been partially animated, but it never completed production.
In other words, no, those crazy kids are still there.
October 27th, 2008 at 9:28 am
This happened to me one year XD
I dressed up as one of my teachers as a joke and he dressed up as a student. Ohsheet it was hilarious.
October 27th, 2008 at 9:44 am
Who’s Jem, and what cartoon is she came from?
October 27th, 2008 at 10:10 am
gosh, that last comment made me feel old, hahaha
October 27th, 2008 at 10:45 am
JEM!!!!!!!! AAAHHHH My god….one of the things I COMPLETELY forgot about….it must have been submerged somewhere around the a$$ of my subconsciousness until now!! Geez, a SINGLE THOUGHT about Jem had not crossed my mind in years….no, DECADES!! (I’m old, yes…)
Heading off to YouTube to re-live some memories!!!
You’re a legend, man! Keep’em coming, THANK YOU!
October 27th, 2008 at 11:54 am
Matt… I think I love you.
Keep them comming ^^
The D&D suggestions brought Conan the Barbarian to my head for some strange reason XD
October 27th, 2008 at 11:56 am
TURBO TEEN? Holy crap man - you rock.
October 27th, 2008 at 12:06 pm
Turbo Teen? Woof, there wsa a STINKER of an extremely short-lived, crappy 80’s cartoon. I thought I was the only one with those painful memories.
October 27th, 2008 at 12:18 pm
This comic is truly, TRULY outrageous.
[ducks]

Exciting adventure, fashion, and fame. Once you’re a Jem girl, you never could say. C’mon, C’mon and be a Jem girl… JEM! Jem is my name.
October 27th, 2008 at 2:20 pm
Heehee. A turtle as Jem! **snort!**
October 27th, 2008 at 2:43 pm

oh, wow, that sucks. :\ I never really liked the kids though. I liked that little unicorn thing.
Anyway, Raph in drag is enough to make me die of laughter or make me want to gouge out my eyes as someone said before.
October 27th, 2008 at 3:34 pm
Well, this is will keep the Jem fans happy for a bit. But not the TF fans. Now Jem TFs…Just need the Misfits in there.
October 27th, 2008 at 4:09 pm
At least they didn’t have identical costumes- like Megatron and Shockwave did with their Dr. Doom costumes last year. What will be next for Halloween?
Ghost Starscream complimented on his Ghost Starscream costume?
Emeril Lagasse dressed up like Mr. Ed?
Dr. Eggman as a sumo belly dancer?
Luigi as the junkyard worker from the TF episode B.O.T. (the one where Brawl’s brain was placed in a kid’s robot)!?
October 27th, 2008 at 4:48 pm
Truely Outrageous Turtle Power!
“Showtime, Synergy!”
October 27th, 2008 at 4:56 pm
okay thats scarey
October 27th, 2008 at 8:16 pm
thats just plain wrong yo
October 27th, 2008 at 8:17 pm
No, what’s really scary is that I was bored enough to watch some Jem episodes on Youtube Saturday night.
October 28th, 2008 at 9:08 am
LOL, TURBO TEEN….
That’s a good one Matt! Happy Halloween!
October 29th, 2008 at 12:02 am
Gratz I almost …. I am laughing so hard at the moment, 80’s halloween, you made me remebber that all of my cousins and myself dressed up as batman for one year!!…yes all of us…
October 29th, 2008 at 5:27 pm
I remember watching Jem and the Holograms when she was part of the Inhuminoids, Big Foot, and Robotics line up. My sister had the doll with flashing “hologram projecting” earings and alternate hair and clothes. Terribly adictive shows, like Sailor Moon Terribly adictive…terribly…

Of course they are still there. The first Baldur’s Gate game even had their pictures hanging on the wall of the tavern.
On a side note, Michael Reaves (one of the original script writers) wrote a script for a finale, but it wasn’t made. It was released as a Radio Play on the American Box set, and the script is available on-line for free. Check out the link for the last episode at the bottom of the page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Dungeons_%26_Dragons_episodes (thank you wikipedia
). I’d also suggest reading his preface (also linked from Wikipedia), first.

Okay … my bad … I think it was actually the second. :/
October 30th, 2008 at 3:31 pm
OMG. IT’S A NINJA TURTLE!!!!!

“I just like 80’s guys dressing up like other 80s guys.”
This is kinda the problem with your strips lately. It’s more about making references to nostalgic childhood characters than it is about actually using humour or wit.
November 2nd, 2008 at 6:36 pm
@Shan:
That’s all it’s ever been. Shh, don’t tell anyone!
November 3rd, 2008 at 2:18 pm
LOL. Jem dressed up as Raphael and Raphael dressed up as Jem. Awesome.
November 24th, 2008 at 6:52 pm
Good Lord! Jem!!!!! I looooooooooooooooved Jem. And sometimes, the comments are just as hilarious as the strip. ^_^
November 27th, 2008 at 12:21 pm
Dude, shoulda made the mask orange - Mikey’s the turtle with a history of dressing in women’s clothes, with two counts just in the 2k3 version alone.
And I think I died when I realized who he was cos-playing as. The fact that I have VHS cassettes of just about every cartoon you’ve referenced thus far in your LF series (and you’ve been inspiring me to go and watch them all over again) makes this series incredibly fun for me to look forward to.

Just for the record, I kind of wish that there was a crossover betweer TFs and Jem. Why?
Five Words: Jem Vs. Soundwave rock off.
