Lil Formers #121: Rainbow of Lanterns
Yay! I get to draw Guy Gardner my most favorite of all lanterns. Also Tomar Tu is cool I ’spose. For anyone not reading DC Comics, the Green Lantern Corps is about to have an all-out war with a rainbow of Lanterns. Green, Yellow, Blue, Indigo, Purple, Orange, Red, and even Black.
Green Lantern and Green Lantern Corps are about the most epic comic books on the rack right now. And unlike and the billions of tie-in crossover titles for Final Crisis and Secret Invasion, you only need to read to series!
It’s also darn colorful, unlike too many comics these days which are just…brown. So go read it!

Stopped reading this stuff a while ago…………..Is this happening in Earth-8765745855454, Earth-47461456563, or another universe of zillion universes/reboots in the multiverse? One needs to be quite concentrated while keeping track on universes, it’s very easy to get lost in the vastness of the multiverse…or multiverses. Or whatever…

Some love for Guy. Yeah that is Tomar Tu. Tomar Re died at the end of the original Crisis. I wouldn’t be surprised if he returns as a Black Lantern.
For whoever asked earlier. Black Lanterns ae going to be characters brought back from the dead. Ronnie Raymond [one of the original halfs of the original Firestorm ]is going to be a BL as well.

eh, its me or the GL corps is facing the same rainbow trend that once time cursed the ninjas? Ya know the old times when , even in most hardcore videogames like MK, ninjas come in all the most colourful outfit!

I agree. Everything going on in Green Lantern is so much better than Final Crisis. Morrison is just making things too complex for the sake of making it sound sophisticated. In fact, I went on a video rant about how much I hate Final Crisis and got comments full of Morrison fanboy love.

I must thank Secret Invasion and Final Crisis cause finally they made me to take the bold decision to stop buying all Marvel Universe and DC Universe titles. Still buying hell of a comics, but i guess i will not read main universe titles from big 2 anymore.

I’d heard about Blue, Yellow, and Red, but the Indigo, Purple and Black ones are new to me. Gotta wonder what aspect they draw their powers from. I know Green is willpower, yellow is fear, and red is rage….

Agreed. Green Lantern and Green Lantern Corps are two of the best books out right now. I work at a comic book shop and read basically everything that comes out, but these two stay towards the top of my stack. If Johns does with Flash what he did with GL, I’ll be stoked!

Ok…so lemme get this straight.
Green=Green Lantern Corps
Yellow=Sinestro Corps
Purple=Star Sapphire Corps
Violet=Corpse (Green Lantern special assassination squad…cuz apparently an English play on words works in alien languages, too)
Red=Red Lantern Corps
…the rest just confuse me.
So the Red Lanterns really *DO* vomit up their power? When someone told me that the rings made them vomit up their hearts and filled their veins with liquid hate…I thought they were just being hyperbolic.

yellow=fear
red=rage
orange=greed
purple=love
indigo=compassion
blue=hope
black=death? not sure on this one, all I know is that the Anti-monitor is the battery for this one and the ring bearers are people brought back from the dead

The Red Lanterns’ ‘energy’ is actually regurgitated acidic blood. The rings give more blood back, though. But it’s still gross.

The Black lanterns are indeed the Dead. The absence of all emotion and potentially the largest of the Eight Corps with their numbers limited only by how many dead there are in the universe.
Interesting to see a “My little Pony” as a Star Sapphire (They kept the SS name and aren’t referred to as the Violet Corps.)
