I could have imagine Megatron as the republican one, but then again why would decepticons use democracy to choose a leader when they can just blast the hell of each other until the winner takes leadership, anyway, nice to see the bots once in a while.

okay, it took me the second time reading it to get it. And it sucks it took me until now to figure out how to post a comment. Anyway, good one. I keep hearing everywhere about optimus vs rodimus; who made the better prime. Anyway, I think they both did a good job. I just hope when optimus came back to life, he realized not only what rodimus did as prime, but also that he might still be the next prime and actually train him for the position. Maybe then Rodimus won’t be so emo about the position (and yes, I do like Rodimus. I however am mad at arcee for going for Springer when Rodimus needed her most).

Rodimus is the better diplomat, as evidenced by the numerous intergalactic gatherings (FFOD’s olympics, Madman’s Paradise’s party) and negotiations between warring planets he dealt with (The Quintesson Journal).
Optimus just went around shooting at Megatron and very little else.

rodimus was a reluctant leader…not one with inferiority issues…he questioned is postion because of how quickly it was thrown on him..its funny because they now have made optimus prime more like how rodimus was….it started with beast wars…then his vehicle mode in war within…then the flames in the movie..then even his personality some what in the new animted cartoon …IMHO

If Ultra Magnus’s track record would end up like like his TF: Animated version, I’d vote for him. I mean, he not only won the war against the Decepticons, he made Cybertron productive and kept the ‘cons banished to the distant edges of the cosmos for millenia.

I don’t think this would really work out. look back at the war within, and so many other works. cybertron usually has some sort of “high council” or whatnot. primes are ceasars. they’re military leaders. not absolute rulers. but with a war that’s been lasting that long, it’s easy enough to forget that.
