Lil Formers #127: Terminator 4
Terminator 4 trailer right here. Go watch Batman fight Terminators!
I think Bale’s last line in the trailer is kinda funny…no, the war won’t end here goofus.
The series track record is all over the place with T-1 (okay old school flick), T-2 (Very good, classic), T-3 (Absolute garbage). Not sure what to think of this movie still, heard bad things about the script but they may not be true. And the big robot at the end of the trailer? MUCH more impressed with that than anything in the Transformers movie.

funny i noticed that as well when i saw the trailer. not sure about the t-4, i think bale is not as good an actor as everyone thinks he is. he is much better at characters that do not need to display emotion and do not need to wear a mask, American Psycho, Equilibrium. lilformers rocks!

Aw, I liked T3 - nice to have a downer ending for a change. Looking forward to T4 though.

The guys behind the sarah connor chronicles must have gone and read your ‘absolute garbage’ review of t3 because they’ve gone and shoved shirley manson off of garbage in as the new recurring baddy… Coincidence? I thunk not.
Anyway, terminator 3 wasn’t that bad, if you don’t pay attention to the awkward plotting, shoddy special effects, terrible acting, rubbish humour and stupid fembot. In fact, if you ignore everything except the ending then It’s lovely.

Where’s the Gundam-na-tor?
December 15th, 2008 at 7:56 am
He…I’m speechless. I’m puzzling how they plan to keep things going…the continuity of Terminator universe is so messed up that make Marve Universe and Transformers universe look like swiss clock by comparison

ZENSTRIVE … the behemoth GUNDAM-ator you actually see in the preview XD
ROFL @ terminator 3 ( if anything T3 is a what-if at BEST )
T:sarah chronicles are terminator 2.010202030 *and you all know it !!!*

The “Terminator” saga won’t end?, jeeez isn’t that ironic, we need a terminator’s terminator…damn isn’t that the plot of t3?…LOL
December 15th, 2008 at 10:40 am
Glad Swartzy is not there. Will Bane be Captain America or Thor too? He can be both; they just need a real actor to make the villain, like in Batman.
The trailer does not look too bad. Having T4 to T6 sounds terrible, though… And yes, T3 was a total disaster. It was like “let’s take anything valuable from T1 and T2 and make fun of it!” or “what size was last movie’s truck? OK, let’s double it!”.

I meant Bale, sorry
December 15th, 2008 at 11:19 am
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaah, contracts.
December 15th, 2008 at 12:16 pm
There is a book series that takes place after Terminator 2 that is a whole lot better than Terminator 3 and the television series.
December 15th, 2008 at 12:22 pm
no f’in way! that robot at the end of the preview for t-4 was some computer generated crap! there is no way you can compare the real robots in t-1 and t-2 to the crap thats made with a computer! ill take the tank HK in terimator 1 and 2 over any robot thats computer generated now-a-days
December 15th, 2008 at 1:07 pm
Matt, that big robot at the end looked terrible. I don’t see how you can think it looks better than “anything” in the Transformers movie.
December 15th, 2008 at 11:27 pm
Wow, more Terminator.
I thought that t2 had an ending, but they just insist on dragging it out.
Oh well, I’ll probably see it anyway
December 16th, 2008 at 2:45 am
1 vote for T3 = sucky!
At least they were able to address the dilemma Matt highlighted a few strips back…. Every male superhero/anti-hero must have a female counterpart. :p

So will t4 follow t3 or the tv show? The last time I checked, it’s one or the other considering that the world was destroyed in a doomsday in t3 but it didn’t happen when it was supposed to the tv show.

Y’know, my first thought on watching the end of that trailer was, “So… when did SKYNET contact the Decepticons?” Oddly enough, my roommate cracked up.
December 16th, 2008 at 3:05 pm
The robot motorcycle things were a nice touch.
December 16th, 2008 at 9:38 pm
“MUCH more impressed with that than anything in the Transformers movie.”
you sure we saw the same trailer?

It’s a TIME WAR. Continuity is not necessary. What matters is which continuity you’re in. T2 Sarah saw her grandchildren grow up, but obviously a Skynet showed up farther in the future, and, using time travel, caused T3 Judgement Day to happen sooner.
Heck, I’m betting Lena Headey’s Sarah Conner (Chronicles) is one of the OTHER Sarah Connors the first Terminator killed in T1, and Linda Hamilton’s Sarah was killed instead of her, due to some more time travel shenanigans.
The irony is, the further into the future they push Judgement Day, the better the technology Skynet will have access to, and the harder to overcome. It will also make John Connor older and older, and his compatriots more tech-savvy.
December 17th, 2008 at 1:57 am
Wow, the implications of what you just described threatens to make my brain shut down. John Connor is only who he is because his mother raised him, and his father is his father beacuse he came back to save her. So if Skynet only knew her name and rough location then any Sarah Connor who survives and is saved by Kyle Reese becomes the Sarah Connor that has John Connor, the leader of the resistance, and the photo of Sarah Connor that Kyle Reese carries is of whichever Sarah Connor is saved.
December 17th, 2008 at 4:48 am
Wait…..did Skynet find time to watch some pre-apocalyptic movies and finally realized that trying to solve things via time travel is futile business? Good
Making us watch it for the 4th time would have been beating a dead mule.
I agree about T3, it was totally unnecessary, weakest of all films and full of inconsistencies….. for one, Arnie faring more than well against T-X, considering he/it was an “obsolete model” fighting a highly advanced “anti-terminator terminator”…..yeah, right. The very idea of trying to surpass the coolness, awesomeness and pure kick-ass perfection of that liquid-metal dude from T2 and to come up with something “even more advanced” is completely ridiculous……..and that scene where our happy gun-toting bunch just walks in a control-room of a high-end military facility is beyond me….
As for the “Chronicles”, I never watched it…but so called “alternate timelines” are in many cases merely exit-points for writers which just don’t want to bother with research….T3, no matter how bad, was there before you, so stick wit it.

……i dont get it……….

February 2nd, 2009 at 10:58 pm
If the leader of your rebellion is Christian Bale, yeah, your war is ending.
February 4th, 2009 at 4:50 pm
Unless all three movies happen on the same night.
February 28th, 2009 at 10:58 pm

isnt that timeloop closed?
he has the photo, so he knows who to save, so he doesnt bother with the others and saves her and thus he has the photo?
