Lil Formers #132: Yeah, right.
Yep, that’s how Batman died last week. And not even in a Batman book! In Final Crisis #6!
Of course he won’t be dead for long. I would be surprised if it lasted 6 months. Actually I’d wager he’ll even be back by the next issue of Final Crisis.

First to post! Yay!
But seriously that was hilarious.
I agree though, Batman probably won’t stay dead. He’ll probably pull a Sherlock Holmes and have faked the death the whole time.
Did he really die from an alien?
I haven’t actually read those comics.
January 19th, 2009 at 12:12 am
Oh, so THAT’S how it happened.
He won’t stay dead. He’s the goddamn batman.
January 19th, 2009 at 1:12 am
He probably did die, but somehow he will have been cloned or they will bring him back through some alternatee universe
January 19th, 2009 at 1:14 am
he’d most likely have a skrull version of himself pretty s- …… waiiiit……. XD
January 19th, 2009 at 1:35 am
This is Batman we are talking about. It is all going according to a massive plan.
January 19th, 2009 at 2:34 am
I think Didio said something like 12-13 months before Bruce is back in the bat-jammies.
January 19th, 2009 at 2:38 am
Characters seem to stay more dead in DC rather than marvel comics. Although last time Batman kicked (Bane broke his back) it there were plenty of people to take his place.
January 19th, 2009 at 3:05 am
correct! he’ll pop right up any time soon. how come you don’t do transformers anymore? miss them.
January 19th, 2009 at 4:12 am
Yeah, Batman will probably come back from the grave(or not - what a twist! xD)
BTW, what does the 513 means?
January 19th, 2009 at 5:13 am
Bruce still has nothing on Optimus Prime, when it comes to dying and resurrecting. -_-
January 19th, 2009 at 6:42 am
Nooo! I’ve been running around doing damage control on so many forums that I hoped I didn’t have to do it here. Batman was hit by Omega Sanction. That attack is NON LETHAL!!! Morrison knows this because its a creation of his. Batman’s trapped somewhere in a sort of living hell and will need to will himself out of it.
Its just another in a long line of Morrison screwing with batman’s mind
You know if more people Read Seven soldiers of Vicotory we wouldn’t be having this problem. Batman being hit by the beams is almost nessesary for Mr Miracle to get freed.
also people keep forgetting that the stuff about batman being missing over in his own comics takes place after Final Crisis. If he was dead and Supes holding his body then how could he be “MISSING”
Most likely after this last and greatest mental screwjob he dissapears to recover which might take some time.
January 19th, 2009 at 6:57 am
@ThunderHawk:
Yeah as I mentioned, I expect they will bring him back to life next issue.
Though the Omega Sanction is essentially supposed to be death. It traps you in an infinite number of dimensions each worse than the last, essentially batman is dead. Plus he has a smoldering corpse.
Anyways, never would miss a chance to make fun of a Morrison story. Pretty much my least favorite writer (He got me to stop reading x-men after 10 years…and I have never really been able to get back into it after that…bugger)
January 19th, 2009 at 7:05 am
Ok and thanks for combining my posts I didn’t actually tried to edit them together and realized I couldn’t. also since your here thanks for creating a place I love. And as much as I love your bots I’m looking forward to everything else as well. Maby more Green Lantern I know you like him. Or perhaps a continuation of Bear wars as a seperate little strip?
January 19th, 2009 at 7:35 am
He is now in Omega Sanction and will be put into a series of ridiculous and pathetic and challenging and ever-changing lives. Grant Morrison has just createad a sandbox for him to play with Bruce Wayne as he pleases
January 19th, 2009 at 10:09 am
Lamest death for Batman ever. Batman has no reason to be tangling with aliens in the first place.
January 19th, 2009 at 11:34 am
If Batman are dead really???
He’s back like a New Gods…
Nonsense, I beat in the Dick porsuit the mantle of Bat^^
January 19th, 2009 at 12:06 pm
My dad and I always thought he’d die a bizarre death, like choking to death on a grap or something.
January 19th, 2009 at 12:07 pm
*grape
I need to check my spelling before I press submit. >_<
January 19th, 2009 at 1:16 pm
I just wanted to say, that’s a great rendition of Commisioner Gordon!
January 19th, 2009 at 5:24 pm
Commisioner Gordon? I thought that was the KFC guy?
:p
January 19th, 2009 at 6:06 pm
Dan DiDio has already said he’s still alive.
Dan seems to have a talent for pointing out the obvious.
January 19th, 2009 at 6:15 pm
No no no no Batman’s not dead he’s alive he’s awesome he can breathe in space no no non no no…
January 19th, 2009 at 6:34 pm
Or maybe, just maybe, they want you to think that they’d never kill Batman, and the whole twist is HE REALLY IS DEAD.
Now that would be ingenious.
January 19th, 2009 at 6:36 pm
My problem wasn’t so much the death (which will be undone in 12 months at most), my problem was with the fact that HE KILLED DARKSEID WITH A GUN!
Morrison: “That’s in character, right?”
Didio: “Don’t know, don’t care. Too late to change it now, we have to go to print.”
January 19th, 2009 at 6:50 pm
Heh, and she kind of has a point there; how long can a badass normal survive in a world full of superthings.
January 19th, 2009 at 7:09 pm
I think batman did a research on the gun as said in the final crisis #6. Batman said the bullet he made was from the material used to kill orion and was lethal to their kind(the new gods) so maybe he killed Darkseid or if not, made quite a number on him. But lets not forget, he is Darkseid, he’ll probably be up and plotting to destroy our universe in no time
January 20th, 2009 at 12:01 am
Wait, what!? : O
January 20th, 2009 at 1:05 am
wow… comicbooks are complicated…
January 20th, 2009 at 1:58 am
Somewhere in the Marvel Universe.
Quesada- Ok, let me see it.
Nicky Fury are desapear again, but, he make a unit for correction of the world.

@Thunderhawk:
Final Crisis takes place a few weeks/months after the current DCU publicashions, it’s the only way to explain the hero roaster that appears after Green Lantern’s call to arms.
If you follow Morrison’s “logic” this is what happened: Batman “dies” in the heli crash, dissapears, reappears to join the fray during Final Crisis (with no mention of him having dissapeared at any time), dissappears again (with no one remembering he reappeared) and dies… the dude hates continuity for some reason.
513: Zapped by alien overload eye-beams of death
I wonder what a 514 is?
January 20th, 2009 at 11:28 am
well…beign zapped with the omega force isnt really the ultimate dead, people have been brought back from that before. its kind of a “you’ll walk it off” dead
January 21st, 2009 at 5:59 am
LOL!
It’s funny because a 513 is being crushed to death by a giant robot, not being zapped by evil alien overlord’s eye beams of death, which is a 456.B-2.
LOL!
January 21st, 2009 at 4:15 pm
sad thing is, there’s probably people who are only just hearing about this from this strip. which is funny, btw. dc omega sanctioned their sales and publicity with this one.
January 21st, 2009 at 8:44 pm
He’s the stinkin’ Bat! Like that one little spot one can never quite remove from one’s shirt,he always comes back to hant the pages of DC comics(I blame it on fangirlism
).
January 22nd, 2009 at 6:22 pm
Bah! Such Foolishness!
January 22nd, 2009 at 7:28 pm
You mean you FORGOT? This is comic books! As Charles Xavier said, Their universe’s heaven “Has no Pearly Gates, but instead, revolving doors”. Batsy will be back faster than you can say “Uncle Ben”
January 25th, 2009 at 8:38 pm
Yay! Montoya makes a LF appearance
Unlike in that last movie,
what is the point of casting and dressing two characters to look like Bullock and Montoya if you’re going to wimp out and say they’re not?
January 26th, 2009 at 12:40 am
Don’t be surprised if Bruce stays dead; DC has been planning for a while to replace Bruce Wayne with a new alter-ego for Batman.
January 26th, 2009 at 1:04 pm
Is Matt dead? Where’s the new strip? WHERE IS IT?!?
January 26th, 2009 at 3:03 pm
It seems he’s been involved in a 456.B-2.
January 26th, 2009 at 4:00 pm
He’s been naked mud-wrestling with a chimp?
January 30th, 2009 at 1:49 am
Sure enough, at the end of Final Crisis #7, there’s Bruce drawing the bat symbol on the cave wall. Oh yeah, Spoiler alert. And Grant Morrison sucks.
May 25th, 2009 at 3:17 pm
batman is almost invincible
July 11th, 2009 at 5:24 pm
For a second there, I thought that was the KFC Colonel Sanders.
How many times can a hero die before it gets cliche?
November 6th, 2009 at 12:18 am
batman liek superman dies ALOT!
i have read so many comics where superman killed batman and batman shoots superman with a krypto shotgun or hit him while wearing a kryto ring its not funny.
heros are like kenny they come back next issue with no explanation

Between me and my husband we’ve owned additional MP3 gamers through the many years than I can rely, together with Sansas, iRivers, iPods (classic & feel), the Ibiza Rhapsody, and so on. But, the last handful of a long time I’ve settled straight down to one particular line of players. Why? Due to the fact I used to be happy to find out how nicely-made and fun to utilize the underappreciated (and widely mocked) Zunes are.
