Lil Formers #139: Stretchy Guys
I would have also included Flatman and Richard Impossible but since they’re just pretty straight parodies of Mr Fantastic might have been confusing… I’m sure you guys will tell me who else I missed?

March 16th, 2009 at 12:26 am
Awesome job including Luffy in the background.
March 16th, 2009 at 12:31 am
Well, what an awkward moment. XD (Richards just hopes Doom is not spying him)
March 16th, 2009 at 1:27 am
What, no Longarm/Shockwave ?
March 16th, 2009 at 1:32 am
Well DC does have some more stretchy guys, but nothing special. One I think is called Rubberband man or something like that, he was a reoccuring villain/anti-hero from the Static Shock series.
And there are a number of lesser guys who would have just bogged down the funny to a “who are they?” like Seth, Twelve, and maybe DC’s Plastic Man.
and who all is in the pic? I recognize: Mr. Fantasitc, Stretch Armstrong, that red newer one whose name escapes me, the mother from the Incredibles,Dhalsim, and Luffy,
March 16th, 2009 at 1:36 am
Yes, Enlongated Man, my most favouritest of stretchy-guys.
Heh. It’s such a weird power, and yet, so many folk have it…
March 16th, 2009 at 2:06 am
Sorry Rhuen, no Stretch Armstrong, thats the Enlongated Man from DC, and the red guy is Plastic Man, whos been around a long time. I love that EMs nose is so prominent, since it played a part in his character. When there was a mystery afoot, it started twitching.
March 16th, 2009 at 2:29 am
I’m happy cause there’s both Elongated Man and Plastic Man. DC wins stretchy guy competition.
March 16th, 2009 at 2:52 am
Nice. Don’t know half of the people but still, nice.
March 16th, 2009 at 2:56 am
Next do an invisable characters convention for some easy filler :Þ
March 16th, 2009 at 3:19 am
You forgot Timely Comics Golden Age Hero Thin Man…
March 16th, 2009 at 4:17 am
How could you have missed the legendary Inspector Gadget !!!!111oneeleven!!!
March 16th, 2009 at 4:45 am
Ralph Dibny is currently on the afterlife….so I take it this is before 52?
March 16th, 2009 at 5:18 am
What? No bubblegum Dexter?
March 16th, 2009 at 6:40 am
there is that guy named Skin from Marvel’s generation X.
March 16th, 2009 at 7:41 am
This is totally off topic…but when will you toss anything related to Samus or Metroids in one of your comics???? I’m a huge Metroid fan…
March 16th, 2009 at 8:00 am
lool I think the one with great problem there is Elastic girl, as being the only one girl in the group. This is one reason why is never smart palying twister with an elastic person. Anyway, I would also add to the list of “rubber” characters Monkey D. Rubber, the main chracter form one piece, if we are not limited ot Western comics.
March 16th, 2009 at 8:30 am
Missing “Stretchy-guys” would definitely include Jimmy “Elastic Lad” Olsen and Stretch Armstrong, and probably Madame Rouge of the Brotherhood of Evil and her daughter, Gemini (Though they might count as shapeshifters).
March 16th, 2009 at 8:43 am
Hahaha, poor stretchy guys.
Am I right in saying that is Plastic man, Elastic girl, Mr. Fantastic and Elongated man? I’m not very sure who the fourth guy is
March 16th, 2009 at 9:07 am
Elastic Girl? Cool. Go Pixar.
Yeah, that looks really… awkward. To say the least.
March 16th, 2009 at 9:46 am
Dhalsim in the BG!!!
March 16th, 2009 at 9:49 am
One word:
Nonsense XD
March 16th, 2009 at 12:45 pm
Monkey D Luffy, he’s a rubber man! though he usually snaps back into place quickly after he stretches.. but that is anime, not comics.
March 16th, 2009 at 1:02 pm
Shapesmith from Invincible.
March 16th, 2009 at 2:50 pm
Just to be picky—IIRC, it’s ‘Elastigirl’, not ‘Elastic Girl’. And Baron–Luffy’s in the background with Dhalsim.
And I don’t think it’s Doom that Mr. Fantasic has to worry about here–it’s the duo of Invisible Woman and Mr. Incredible.
Granted, Elastigirl can probably beat him up quite well herself if he doesn’t keep his…anatomy to himself. I do feel sorry for her being the ‘Smurfette’ at this convention, though–you’d think there’d be more female stretchers, if only for the expanding chest gag.
March 16th, 2009 at 3:09 pm
ELASTIC ORGY !
March 16th, 2009 at 3:14 pm
They should have been playing twister, otherwise, hilarious.
March 16th, 2009 at 3:34 pm
lol nice one.
March 16th, 2009 at 6:05 pm
Luffy of course is just standing there laughing. Who’s the other guy in the back?
March 16th, 2009 at 6:48 pm
Dude, c’mon. It’s Dhalsim from Street Fighter.
March 16th, 2009 at 7:08 pm
Does Elasti-Girl count? Y’know the one from DC Comics, not the one whose name Pixar ripped off for their female Mr Fantastic rip-off.
March 16th, 2009 at 8:19 pm
Does were-Sonic count? There’s also that orangatan whose name escapes me from Donkey Kong 64.
March 16th, 2009 at 8:33 pm
Hell yes!!! You included Luffy!!!
March 16th, 2009 at 9:19 pm
That’s Lanky Kong, Charles.
March 17th, 2009 at 12:40 am
Does Bunny Rabbot of Sonic the Hedgehog count?
March 17th, 2009 at 3:10 am
oops on mistaking Elasticman for Stretch Armstrong, and somehow not recognizing Plastic Man.
On some comments like Inspector Gadget and Rabbot, I don’t thin robot/cyborgs with extending limbs count as “stretchy” characters. Otherwise you could include Bender from Futurama and a whole host of robots into the mix.
Madam Rouge is a “puddy” character like ClayFace or Ink. extending limbs but also shapeshifters, so I wouldn’t count them as “stretchy” types.
March 17th, 2009 at 3:41 am
Extendar from MotU is missing.
March 17th, 2009 at 4:02 am
if you have a strechy convention then why not put in animated longarm/shockwave!
March 17th, 2009 at 12:05 pm
Just as a joke, you should have included the Werehog version of Sonic. Maybe Dhalsim could have been beating him up or something.
March 17th, 2009 at 2:10 pm
Missed characters: (That I can think of)
Rubber Band Man (from Static)
Super Skrull (I mean, come on heh that one is obvious)
Seth (final boss from Street Fighter 4, who possesses Dhalsim’s stretchyness)
Elongated Man aka Ralph Dibney (from DC comics)
March 17th, 2009 at 4:02 pm
But…Ralph is right there, Walsh..
March 17th, 2009 at 4:12 pm
I’m a total DC guy, but I have to mention Skin from generation-X
March 17th, 2009 at 4:13 pm
crap juat read someone posted that, disregard last comment!!!!
March 17th, 2009 at 4:52 pm
Hey is this the only power Ben 10 doesn’t have?
March 17th, 2009 at 9:01 pm
PARTY FAIL!!!
March 17th, 2009 at 9:02 pm
Monixmus, I think with one of those new guys (Goop), he’s got that problem handled. (And let’s not forget about that mummy…)
March 17th, 2009 at 9:33 pm
Would kid buu (or other buus) from DBZ fall into stretchy guy territory? He could stretch his arm and turn into a ball and such after all.
March 17th, 2009 at 9:35 pm
@craggy: Elasti-Girl from DC didn’t have stretchy powers, she could increase/decrease her size ala Hank Pym.
March 17th, 2009 at 10:04 pm
How ’bout Aaron Stack (AKA Machine Man) from Nextwave and Avengers: The Initiative fame? He gets stretchy sometimes… Well, stretchy arms at least.
Luv the eyebrows on Reed!
March 17th, 2009 at 11:02 pm
@Denton: but elasti-girl from the Incredible’s does
March 18th, 2009 at 1:38 am
i say agree to the man say inspector gadget
March 18th, 2009 at 3:43 am
Bart Simpson
March 18th, 2009 at 11:08 am
The wisdom of Shel Silverstein springs readily to mind:
There’s too many kids in this tub;
There s too many elbows to scrub.
I just washed a behind
that I’m sure wasn’t mine;
There’s too many kids in this tub.
March 18th, 2009 at 11:08 am
They got Luffie (One pice) up their. He’s in the battground
March 18th, 2009 at 1:40 pm
stretch armstrong! his arms strech to next week!
March 18th, 2009 at 4:41 pm
hmm… ther’s always “RubberBandMan” from Static Shock (a DC sub-universe) he’s african american and wears a purple body suit that’s as stretchy as he is.
March 19th, 2009 at 12:00 pm
Given that all these guys can control *every* part of their bodies, Elastigirl should be VERY worried!
March 19th, 2009 at 2:38 pm
Ha ha nice! Hooray for Dhalsim in the background!
March 19th, 2009 at 7:21 pm
“Given that all these guys can control *every* part of their bodies, Elastigirl should be VERY worried!”
Yep, he’s not called “Eel” O’Brian for nothing…
March 19th, 2009 at 8:07 pm
Ha ha @ Elasta Girl.
March 20th, 2009 at 1:47 am
Forgot Rubberbando aka Dale from Chip and Dales Rescue Rangers
March 20th, 2009 at 12:39 pm
yay is that some street fighter i see in the backround?
March 20th, 2009 at 4:43 pm
I applaud your self-control. This could have gone waay south real fast with very little effort.
March 20th, 2009 at 5:11 pm
Yay! Luffy and Plastic man might be my favorites in this comic! (In the new Batman BATB Plastic man is voiced by the guy who does Ani Starscream and Spongebob Lol)
March 21st, 2009 at 6:12 pm
Lol, Dhalsim’s back there, thats cool.
March 24th, 2009 at 4:13 am
there are 3 missing characters… Brocken from SNK’s World Heroes and Necro from Street Fighter 3 and if I remember correctly Alsion III from an obscure game called Breakers
March 30th, 2009 at 5:12 pm
luffy always the hardest and silliest villians…i wish he was still on tv…
April 8th, 2009 at 1:21 am
I just thought of one… Mr. Gum from The Atomics
April 9th, 2009 at 10:52 am
Sexist! Where is Elastagirl??? Shame shame!
April 14th, 2009 at 8:47 am
if you hang the ball of those four guys at the center of the roof, they’ll make GREAT party decorations
April 14th, 2009 at 8:54 pm
and it’s MRS. incredible
April 18th, 2009 at 4:20 pm
Aww.. you messed up Plastic Man’s face. He looks NOTHING like Stephen Colbert wearing blue goggles!!
May 15th, 2009 at 6:17 am
YOU IDIOT!! HE ALWAYS HAS WHITE GOGGLES WITH BLACK SHADES!!!!
May 19th, 2009 at 7:01 am
this is so funny, i like all these comics…
May 25th, 2009 at 3:08 pm
ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
what?
May 30th, 2009 at 1:48 am
I don’t see Gumby anywhere - he was a stretchy pioneer!
June 4th, 2009 at 5:56 am
80s oriented site forgetting about the super globetrotters’ spaghetti man? tsk tsk
well ok, 1979, but still.
June 27th, 2009 at 10:53 pm
I don’t think anybody has posted Plasticman’s son Offspring yet.
November 12th, 2009 at 6:01 am
$20 for a game of twister in this reunion. love mrs incredibles statement “who is touching my butt. ooh i guess i am”
January 26th, 2010 at 4:56 pm
How about the Shape, from Marvel’s Squadron Supreme?
Or Hulkling? He impersonated Mr. Fantastic once.
February 8th, 2010 at 12:04 am
While I do find this hilarious, I don’t think Luffy belongs there since he’s more like a rubberband he stretches and then comes right back, while Reed, Plasticman and the others in the center stretch and can stay stretched. Though Dhalsim is the same, probably why their standing in the back.
March 27th, 2010 at 3:49 pm
Does anybody remember Rubber Band Man?
July 21st, 2011 at 7:02 am
you forgot stretch armstrong
