Lil Formers #148: MOTU Classic
Yeah, the dialogue actually has nothing to do with the comment at the beginning…I just noticed watching some He-man DVD’s that Skeletor always seems to be after a sphere or an orb or a stone… maybe it goes with the skull theme? I am actually hooked on the MOTU Classics. But they still can’t compare to the designs and sculpts on the 2002 figure/staction line (yes I know they are done by the same sculptors…)
And PS: don’t forget if you’re going to Botcon this weekend, to come see me in the artists area! I’ve got my epic TF Animated print, and more. Check out all the details in my blog post about it.

The Classix are awesome!! The re-using of molds is a nod to the original line hence “Classics”
I think its great

Well, Skeletor just needs a little Photoshop and will look very similar to the original figure (his armor was also similar to He-Man, though not identical.
PD: Matt, when will we have a Zarak strip? PLZ!!

Oh, I also noted that Beast Man has his neck fur. Isn’t that part of the figure’s armor? How can he have both it and He-Man’s one? Wait, don’t answer… A wizard (or a Trollan) did it!
HAPPY FREAKY PRIDE DAY! Um, I already said that…

The newer cartoon flopped. I thought it had potential, but kids these days it seems just can’t accept heroes who are corny and good all-around and villains who have no tragic past or twisted heroic goal and are just evil for the sake of being evil. (anime has spoiled these kids into needing a real plot in their saturday mornings). heck at least when the newer He-man transformed he got larger and changed apperance. the old one kinda just changed cloths. No on recognizing him was even sader than the Sailor Scouts not being recognized (at least they weren’t hiding their identities from people that saw them upclose on a daily basis) like He-man’s friends and family.
Prince Adam is now wearing a loin cloth and belt straps, well then its not Prince Adam, oh okay. LoL.

At least Ram-Man had a different mold. You’ve gotta love Ram-Man.

I never was able to get the 2002 line as i was in japan at the time, so i missed out. the samurai line was terrible. I just wanted the core characters from that line and I hate the “classics” figs. terrible terrible!

I dont think the new cartoon flopped in as much as it was cancelled by Mattel due to their poor handling of the toyline…
May 28th, 2009 at 11:21 am
Wow! He-man can talk! In the 2000 series he could barely talk at all!
May 28th, 2009 at 11:22 am
Crap, they’re all He-Man posers! (>.>)====@(.Xo)
