Darksiders
Hey guys, sorry I really wanted to do a strip this week, but this big mean man here has been making me play is awesome videogame. MAKING me!
Heh well, anyways, if you ever wondered what a mature Zelda would be like… Darksiders is it. And it’s great! I actually got to meet Joe Madureira(the creative director on this game) this past summer at E3. Was pretty cool to have a chat with him, since he was one of my earliest fav comic artists

I’ve been playing too…except I might have to restart…i’m kind of stuck with no health and a whole mess of enemies…hate those STUPID Crystal Undead dudes…so I’ve been playing more Bayonetta…now THAT is one I wouldn’t mind seeing you do here hahah!

Are you suggesting Zelda is NOT “mature?” Look at Twilight Princess! Or heck, even the “Toon Zelda” games. And the upcoming Zelda Wii game will undoubtedly be even more “mature.”

just currently finished off the saboteur. awesome game, arguably the largest sandbox game with the most stuff for you to shoot and blow up ever. Also really love the mature tone.
currently blasting through the Super Robot Taisen games on gba one more time. I would definitely like to see matt do a take on that series.
Oh yah, and while Twilight princess definitely had a more gritty feel, there was nothing in there that made me thing NC17, more like a PG-13 at most.

Still wish Mr. Joe Mad! would restart Battlechasers or at least continue were he left off. It’s interesting how in the new Darksiders game there is a demon called Vulgrim. It seems that Joe is recycling some character names for this game. Bulgrim (changed the B to a V) is a demon in his Battlechasers comic that is in possession of a woman. I wish he would rerelease the series so that he can finish it properly.

as much as i might agree fpcreator2000, considering how long the original series took, and how long it took to get Ultimates 3 out?? No thanks. I’d rather not take 6 years to get 3 issues…

I havent played it so i cant really judge, but ive seen ads and i dont see how that game is a mature zelda. its just another game with a guy in way oversized armor with a big sword. looks more like a clunkier god of war than a “mature” zelda. not that im trying to diss the game or anything, (though i am tired of seeing games whos protagonist is always a guy whose body is 90% shoulder pads or armor) but that comment just kindof struck me the wrong way

ahh Yes. I love this game, just recently beat Griever. for those of you uninformed that dude is WAR, one of the 4 horsemen of the apocolypse. He’s been accused of bringing around the destruction of Mankind and stripped of most his powers, though hes still pretty bad assed. this game is also VERY gory. there;s an acheivement/trophy for spilling like 3,000 gallons of demon blood.
