Lil Formers #198: Tekken VS SF
A real game if you haven’t heard! Two games actually!
Though, the response I’ve seen from most people is usually: “Really?…Does anybody play Tekken anymore?”
Myself, I had to lookup ref for the Tekken guy….I have already forgotten his name. Here’s a video though!

this xross-overs have to end, some are good some are bad, and some leave you with “shoutmonxwhat?!!” feeling, CAPCOM not all crossovers are good!!, (though this one makes more sense than any other, at least they are the same genre), capcom vs. nintendo must be next.
August 9th, 2010 at 2:24 am
I’d honestly rather see Capcom Vs Namco over these two specifics from each because I honestly was playing Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 the other day and was like “Man…I wonder what kind of hardcore stuff Pacman would do.”
August 9th, 2010 at 3:11 am
They need to just port MUGEN to consoles and be done with it. That’s the ultimate team-up game right there. For those not familiar with MUGEN it’s a PC game that lets you pit characters ripped from games against each other or even against original creations. You wanna see who’d win in a fight between Peter Griffin and the Linux Penguin? How about Apocalypse and the Green Power Ranger? This is the game for you. Btw Kunushi, Pac Man is playable in the game and he is BADASS.
August 9th, 2010 at 9:33 am
The best part of the video was the Mega man VS Pac Man ending. LOL!
The game should be interesting, but I’ll wait to play it to see if it’s any good.

Agree with Dupul.
August 9th, 2010 at 10:36 am
Meh. I waiting for the eventual Street Fighter vs. Mortal Kombat game.
August 9th, 2010 at 11:06 am
Bah. While all this is nice obviously world needs Street Fighter vs Darkstalkers or just a new Darkstalkers game.
August 9th, 2010 at 11:56 am
I still want Street Fighter vs. Mortal Kombat. And now that MK has gone back to 2D, it can totally work. And the SF guys can have Brutalities like DC did.
August 9th, 2010 at 1:16 pm
Good one. i had to throw this one up on X-ism. I’ve tried to keep up with Tekken but apparantly I haven’t done a good job because I entirely miss Tekken 5. Street Fighter is certainly giving Tekken the “rub” here if I my use a pro wrestling term.

Really, I’m a huge Tekken Fan. I’m more amazed that anyone cares about Street Fighter any more. The last game was awful. Its still just a combo fest and a big toss off. Where as Tekken at least some tactics and skill to it. But it will be worth it just to watch Jack pummel that fairy Ken into the ground….
August 9th, 2010 at 7:27 pm
this should be good, but it’s not. drop the crossovers, and just make a new street fighter, or a marvel vs dc game. it doesnt make sense that they make capcom vs marvel, or dc vs mortal combat. instead, they should make capcom vs mortal combat, or marvel vs dc. Duh! o_0
August 9th, 2010 at 10:40 pm
When I heard about this I thought it was just some rumor nothing more, someone on Capcom Unity had to show me pics for me to believe it.
My thoughts were just what this pic implies, Tekken? I never cared much for Tekken, the movie had to be the worst fighting game movie ever made *maybe tied with the second Mortal Kombat movie*
and on top that we are getting right before it (Marvel vs Capcom 3)
Lets see….Chun-Li vs Nina or Amaterasu vs Thor? hmmm, not really a choice. I mean if it were Namco vs Capcom as a fighting game so we’d get match ups like Mega-Man vs Pac-man or Morrigan vs Ivy Valentine, then yeah…but just Tekken…eh.
August 10th, 2010 at 12:25 am
It’s a nice video! Anyone know where can I find that Pac-man X Mega-man game mentioned on the end? O_o
August 10th, 2010 at 2:42 am
“The burning sensation you feel is not from some fireball. It’s the feeling of your bones broken” - advertisement from Tekken.
I prefer Tekken than the boring Street Fighter IV. Here’s dreaming for King of Fighter vs Tekken. That’d be my sole reason to buy a game console…
August 10th, 2010 at 3:46 am
Next for 2013 its Street Fighter vs Battle Arena Toshinden LoL
Eiji vs Ryu
Kayin vs Ken
Sho vs Akuma
yes the clones shall battle LoL.
August 10th, 2010 at 6:34 am
I’m actually more on the Tekken side of the fandom. I enjoy Street Fighter, but I tend to actually like Tekken more, and for longer.
That said, I’m not sure how well this will work out. The games play vastly different. SF is a 2d fighter with fast and furious projectiles. Tekken is a 3d fighter with few projectiles at all, let alone fast ones. I would almost rather see a Tekken x Virtua Fighter or Battle Arena Toshinden x Soul Calibur.
But I’ll still probably buy this game. Not day 1. I’ll definitely rent the SF version, but I’ll most likely buy the Tekken one.
August 10th, 2010 at 11:42 am
Tekken 2 was one of my fave Beat-em ups of all time. I personally think this game will be brilliant. but the projectile issue might be a problem as a previous poster mentioned. There isn’t any really in tekken, but i suppose street fighter doesn’t have many power moves, whereas every player in tekken has a couple of double button pushes which kick ass!
August 10th, 2010 at 11:43 am
Also to mention, i would like to see Tobal back in the frame, one of the best beat em ups ever, so hard and the second one kicked ass with its RPG mode!
August 10th, 2010 at 1:04 pm
Wait… you tease Tekken vs. Street Fighter, and you don’t do the most anticipated match? Kuma vs. Zangief! Bear vs. Bear Wrestler!
August 10th, 2010 at 1:57 pm
A bit odd for this particular video to be from Machinima.com. It is an open invitation for doubters to speculate the whole thing was fan-made.
I agree that another Namco vs. Capcom has better potential for fun than strict Tekken.
The Tekkenites might be more evenly matched against the virtua fighter/fighting viper moveset. But, aside from Soul Calibur on Dreamcast, Namco has pretty thoroughly snubbed Sega since the PS1 era. Wounds may have to heal first.
August 10th, 2010 at 4:16 pm
this could totally work!!
the guy over there is Kazuya Mishima….
although i think the baddest fights would be
Heihachi Vs Akuma and Paul vs Ryu
:D
August 10th, 2010 at 10:04 pm
this is proof that the world will end in 2012
August 10th, 2010 at 10:49 pm
@NotU: the answer on how it will play is that there will actually be two games.
Capcom will makes: Street Fighter vs Tekken, which will play like SFIV
Namco will make: Tekken vs Street Fighter, which will play like the Tekken series
its the same liscense deal as when Capcom faced off with SNK, both produce their own version.
August 11th, 2010 at 10:21 am
Nice drawing, Matt.
August 11th, 2010 at 3:46 pm
I want this game.
August 12th, 2010 at 7:46 am
Cool drawing. But Kazuya’s pants are actually Jin’s.
August 12th, 2010 at 6:37 pm
These two did *technically* meet before in the Japan only Namco X Capcom. Though Kazuya was all demon-form the whole time, and Ryu fought alongside Jin and Heihachi. Plus I don’t think he ever got un-demonified enough to atually string two sentences together.
August 15th, 2010 at 3:17 pm
That’s gonna suck for the Tekken fans that like to sidestep
August 16th, 2010 at 8:31 am

August 16th, 2010 at 6:50 pm
This is dumb I hate Tekken its so emo and a button mashers Street Fighter is going to be better side more people will be playing the Street fighter side more people love the Street Fighter game more then Tekken and KOF fighters are so flamboyant long SF haters lick my balls
August 17th, 2010 at 11:22 pm
i want Tekken vs Mortal Kombat
August 19th, 2010 at 1:00 am
Oh… knowing my husband, we’ll get that game too. He got Street Fighter vs Capcom for the sole reason that it has Tekkaman and Tekkaman Blade. And for his birthday, I let him get that humongously big controller that goes with it. And no, I haven’t played it yet. I’m still trying to beat Mario Kart (wii), Transformers Armada (ps2), and Guitar Hero (DS).
August 19th, 2010 at 4:06 pm
Ryu would mop the floor with anyone from Tekkin with the possible exception of King. This does just make me scratch my head too, the only thing I can say is “Why?” Oh and that was a really weak trailer, I like the art style from SF4 but this thing was about 80% black ink and 10% moon images
August 20th, 2010 at 4:44 pm
I’d like to see Ryu ‘mop the floor’ with Yoshimitsu- He’d do that helicopter move before a fireball could touch him. Fo’ srs.
September 5th, 2010 at 3:44 am
FINALLY, the bitter rivalry will be ended and it shall be decided, which fighting video game is the ultimate fighter.
September 21st, 2010 at 12:12 am
2012 damn i thought a lil after mvc3 tekken looks promisin in the sf world but i dnt kno how well sf will adapt to tekkens itll be interestin either way
September 29th, 2010 at 8:29 pm
Eh, never been a fan of Street Fighter. But Tekken’s the best.
I’m waiting for an ultimate crossover. Street Fighter vs Tekken vs Mortal Kombat vs Soul Caliber vs Marvel vs DC vs Dead Or Alive.
I know it’ll probably never happen, but wouldn’t it be great if it did?
December 11th, 2010 at 4:39 am
“Though, the response I’ve seen from most people is usually: “Really?…Does anybody play Tekken anymore?”
would that responce have come from the 3 million people who bought tekken 6, or the 2 million people that bought sf4?
April 14th, 2011 at 7:12 pm
I was a Tekken fan for a really long time, and I had never been too deep into Street Fight except for the crossover games. But I’ll admit, no one cares about Tekken anymore. Tekken 6 was okay, but the online-play is a lag-tastic piece of poop. So anyway, my point is that despite my years of Tekken playing I can honestly say no one cares about Tekken anymore…

It’s funny cuz Moylan thinks just because he’s unfamiliar with a franchise, the rest of the world is too.
November 3rd, 2011 at 10:14 pm
I’ve said that least 3003543 times. The problem this like that is they are just too compilcated for the average bird, if you know what I mean
