Lil Formers #200: The End…. again?
(for any noobs…this strip is a shout out all the back to Lil Formers #1!)
So it’s been 4 years, 200 strips (more actually, counting stuff I’ve done for TFW2005, Official Transformers club mag, and more…) and I’m pretty proud of Lil Formers at this point. I’d like to thank all the loyal readers who comment on Lil Formers.com, my watchers on deviantart, those of you who come out to see me at conventions, and even you silent lurkers!
I never anticipated my little web comic would get so popular. Heck, I didn’t even intend for it to be a series at the start. I just doodled out a Shockwave, added a speech balloon to him, and that would have been it… except folks asked for more and eventually I found myself doing Lil Formers every week.
So what does THE END mean? Am I retiring Lil Formers? Well no… but I am putting the weekly strip schedule aside so I can focus on other things. I’ve got some other concepts I want to develop, and a lot of cool stuff is going on at my day job as Managing Editor of UDON Entertainment. Plus I’m getting married in a year! Phew!
I will be doing more Lil Formers strips I’m sure, just not on every Monday like in the past. I will though be doing more blog posts where I dig up old Lil Formers art, talk about projects I’m working on, or maybe just post something I drew that day. So if you come back every week, there should be soemthing nifty for you to check out. 
I’ve even got a strip idea for next so, who knows…maybe I won’t escape so easily heh.

hmmm, interesting choice for a two hundreath… things have come full circle.
and absolutely this strip is popular, and you should be proud of yourself. the humor here is sharp and amusing. i guess we’ll be hitting the site up even more in the future just to wait for the updates. don’t keep us hanging, your loyal followers need their lilformers fix, even if its no longer weekly.

Hope you’ll still come to all the big TF conventions, I’d love to buy more prints from you, and my gf is hooked on your buttons, she thinks lil Ravage is “so cute!”

Matt thank you for everything that you’ve done with the strip. Your a very talented artist when it comes to the Transformers. I’ve been there since possibly Strip #5. I’ve enjoyed each and every one of them. I know you have a lot going on, but if your not going to be doing this every Monday, Maybe you should turn it into a Monthly series with more elaborate stories, or art to go with submissions turned into by fans. (If Matt does it that way, lets keep it clean folks.) Once again thank you, and I look forward to seeing more of your work in the future.

Sadness, I will miss the weekly strip but I do understand life happens and priorities shift, same thing happened to bobandgeorge.com many many moons ago. Hope to see new strip at least once a month though

Shockwave got on Gobotron, when he was dreaming of dominating Cybertron, and sleptwalked onto a spacebridge and woke up on Gobotron and didn’t realize it until he had offed all the Go-Bots…….DUH!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats on the marriage, from what you’ve shared of your lady she seems absolutely awesome. Take good care of each other. Lilformers is a great strip man I’ll definitely miss it if it really does end, thanks for the excellent work. I may download all the strips and use them as rotating wallpaper on my computer. Ah, it’s curious that so many people on the internet who host sites like this think they need to apologize when other things go first. I see every site like yours as a pure gift to the world. You have added a lot to the world of the fans with work that has created many smiles. For that I thank you.
Do what you want to do and enjoy it, if we get to enjoy it along for the ride, so much the better. Looking forward to whatever more you will show us over time.

This strip is definitely coming back full circle. Since I found this website, I’ve always admired your art as one of the best I’ve seen. It’s funny, witty and hilarious. Every Monday I always used to come here to have a look at what you would come up with and it was always a pleasure to enjoy your weekly strips. I’m happy to have been a part of this journey and even though your not going to stop drawing LilFormers completely, I can appreciate the new direction in your life and understand that LilFormers might not be your top priority at that point in time. Nonetheless, I wish you all the joy and happiness for the future and that you’ll be successful in everything you do. God bless you Matt.

Thank you for making this wonderful webcomic.
I really appreciate that you did it since I came here during the first Late Formers comic (I found out about your comic n one of the Battletech forums that I go to, mostly the Jetfire comic that made me google for LilFormers).
But I really understand that you have to focus more on real life stuff (Even Homestar Runner is like that, with the Chapman Bros. taking a very long break with their Wives and babies). And congrats on the upcoming marriage!

@Rhuen: Heh, I dunno who you are talking to…honestly UDON as a company is doing better than it ever has before. Not every book is a mega-hit of course, but on the whole things are very positive right now.
When UDON starts showing up in Bleeding Cool/Lying in the Gutters, then it is time to worry
(Actually I think we are one of the few publishers who’s never been called out in that gossip column… good for us?)

I was under the impression that you liked Transformers: Animated (given that you made that massive print depicting every character drawn in your style after the show was abruptly cancelled), but your page on the Transformers Wiki claims that you don’t. So… do you, or not?

hmmm, put the stip as a book. Yeah Pete Abrams does that for Sluggy Freelance, so there are publishers for comic strips *if you don’t/can’t use the company you work for*

I actually just started reading these. O_O If I’d known about them before now, I would have read them long ago. They’re pretty funny, for the msot part. I think it’s cool that you even have merchandise for it as well. I’d get the T-Shirts.
